SWAT Mobility bullish about PH

SWAT Mobility, a Singapore-based employee transportation and logistics solutions provider, remained bullish about growth prospects in the Philippines and expects the country to be its second biggest revenue market despite the persisting COVID-19 pandemic, President Grace Ho announced during a virtual press briefing.

Founded in 2020, during the pandemic itself, the company specializes in providing demand-responsive, ridesharing services in high-capacity vehicles.

To date, it has completed four million dynamically-routed rides for commuters across seven markets.

Its Philippine operations accounted for 25 percent of this total, says SWAT Mobility Philippines’ Country Business Head, Maria Theresa Busmente.

“In 2020, we ended the year with roughly 22,000 rides completed. Closing 2021 with more than 500,000 rides is really a milestone for us,”

she said during the briefing on Thursday, Jan. 27.

SWAT Mobility serves Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms, manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and enterprises needing employee shuttle services.

It is currently operational in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Cebu, and is looking at other regions such as Central Luzon for its future business.

“We work closely with governments and large organizations with thousands of passengers to solve transport issues and improve commutes,” Bustamante noted.

“Our integrated products optimize transportation and movement of logistics.”

In 2021, SWAT Mobility was listed on Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list as a startup on the rise in the Asia-Pacific region.

For 2022, SWAT Mobility is tripling its investments in the country, putting in over a quarter of a million Singapore dollars, according to Ho.

“Over the last year, our teams deployed technology-enabled mobility solutions to help workers commute safely back to work amid the pandemic challenges,” she explained.

As the Philippine economy recovers, SWAT Mobility plans to work with companies to hasten activating their workforce and operations as employees are called back on-site once the surge in COVID-19 cases eases up.

“The pandemic has set a new normal on safety as a priority on people transport,” Ho stressed.

“Companies with a large workforce and those in the essential services sectors, such as manufacturing and BPOs, should ensure workers can commute safely to and from work.”

“Our local experience in deploying corporate employee transport for customers, such as Inspiro and KMC Solutions, provides greater confidence to employers as they configure transport for their workforce and resume business operations,” she added.

SWAT Mobility stays committed to its Philippine market, according to the president.

“The Philippines is an important market for us. We remain optimistic that as the economy recovers and business operations resume, our mobility solutions have strong relevance in helping companies activate their workforce.”

“In addition, we have adapted our technology for the logistics sector to deliver operational efficiencies and respond to the growing demand of e-commerce in the Philippines,” she concluded.
